Hanging Gardens of Minhocão
This happening closed part of the Costa e Silva Viaduct with synthetic grass to play with the possibility of transforming the most gray and absurd area of São Paulo into a park. People were invited to intervene as they wished – debates, children’s pools, barbecue, musical performances, art interventions. The action had an immense repercussion, which led, years later, to the inclusion in the city’s Master Plan of a clause recommending the deactivation of the viaduct.
